CONCERT

On the 10th March I played a concert at the "Harp", C/ Jesús del Valle 30. Songs included Wonderwall, Blacker than the Blues, Summer of '69, 50 Ways to Leave your Lover, No Woman No Cry. Some friends wore the T-Shirt.

BARCELONA '99

Holiday in Barcelona with Mum and Gervase. This during the Easter holiday 27th March to 3rd. of April. Highlights included the following:-

• Sagrada Familia - cathedral (photo 1)
• The Pueblo Español - do watch the film show where you will discover that the Catalans invented everything. (photo 2)
• Restaurant "Les Quinze Nuits", Plaça Real, 6 - Very cheap - interesting food but don't expect to linger there long. My guide book said ´Get there early`- this was not a joke.
• Hostal Fontanella, Via Laietana, 71 - pleasant place where we stayed. Great location.
• In Gerona eat at "Boira", Plaça de la Independencia 17 - excellent food at lunchtime.
• The Picasso museum in Figueras (photo 3)
• The monastery at Montserrat (photo 4)

SCOTLAND JULY '99

I went to Livingston 14-22/7/99. Trips included Peebles, St. Mary's Loch and other spots around Edinburgh.

ENGLAND AUGUST '99

Short visit took in Newbury, Reading and London. Lovely to see some old faces again - Adrian and Karen, Margaret and Pat  - and some not so old faces - Laura, Rocío and Marta.

ALICANTE AUGUST '99

No pictures of this whistle-stop visit. My thanks to Amaia, Maru, Alfonso, Eugenio and Pablo for a wonderful weekend including a magnificent paella and being stung by a medusa (of all things!).

OCTOBER '99

Mum came to visit Madrid. We went to the Thyssen Museum and to Avila. The weather was kind - it only rained on the 12 October - a holiday, of course!

DECEMBER '99

This website more or less presentable. Added the counter on the 14th of this month.

CHRISTMAS '99

To Scotland for Christmas and the New Year. Visits to Larkins, McCrorys and the dreaded Kinross. If the celebrations for the last year of the second millennium are anything to go by, next year is going to be really something!
